1. Fresh bratwurst links 2 (19.8 ounce) packages
2. Butter ½ cup
3. Light beer 3 (12 ounce) cans
4. Onions, chopped 4
5. Cayenne pepper ½ teaspoon
6. Garlic powder 1 tablespoon
7. Garlic, minced 2 cloves
8. Brown sugar 2 tablespoons
9. Sauerkraut, drained (Optional) 1 cup
10. Bratwurst buns 10 (6 inch)

How to cook deliciously - On Wisconsin Beer Brats

1 . Stage

In a slow cooker, combine the bratwurst links, butter, beer, onions, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, garlic and brown sugar. Cover and set to High. Cook for 4 hours, stirring once per hour. Add sauerkraut and continue cooking for another hour.

2 . Stage

Serve bratwurst on buns with onions and top with your favorite condiments.
