1. Butter or margarine - 1 tablespoon
2. Hillshire Farm smoked sausage, cut into 1/2-inch slices - 1 (14 ounce) package
3. Onion, chopped - 1
4. Red bell pepper, seeded and chopped - 1
5. Green bell pepper, seeded and chopped - 1
6. Garlic, minced - 2 cloves
7. Crushed tomatoes - 1 (28 ounce) can
8. Hot pepper sauce - ½ teaspoon
9. Ground black pepper - ½ teaspoon
10. Crushed red pepper flakes - ¼ teaspoon
11. Salt to taste - ¼ teaspoon
12. Large raw shrimp, peeled and deveined - ½ pound
13. Hot cooked long-grain white rice - 6 cups

How to cook deliciously - Quick and Easy Jambalaya

1. Stage

Melt butter in a 5- to 6-quart pan over medium-high heat. Add sausage, onion, bell peppers, and garlic; cook, stirring occasionally, until vegetables are soft and sausage is lightly browned, about 5 minutes.

Stir in tomatoes, hot pepper sauce, black pepper, red pepper flakes, and salt; bring to a boil. Add shrimp and cook until bright pink on the outside and the meat is opaque, about 3 minutes.
