1. Yams, peeled and cut into 1/2-inch pieces 5 cups
2. Water 1 ¼ cups
3. Brown sugar 1 cup
4. Pineapple juice ¾ cup
5. Salted butter, cubed ¼ cup
6. Vanilla extract 2 tablespoons
7. Ground cinnamon 1 teaspoon
8. Ground nutmeg ½ teaspoon
9. Cornstarch 2 tablespoons
10. Water 2 tablespoons

How to cook deliciously - Slow Cooker Candied Yams

1 . Stage

Line a slow cooker with a slow cooker liner or spray with cooking spray.

2 . Stage

Place yams in the bottom of the slow cooker. Top with water, brown sugar, pineapple juice, butter, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Stir to evenly distribute sauce.

3 . Stage

Cook on Low for 2 hours. Stir.

4 . Stage

Stir cornstarch and water together in a small bowl to make a slurry. Add to slow cooker and stir to incorporate.

Cook until yams are fork-tender and sauce has thickened, about 1 hour more.
