Ingredients for - Slow Cooker Candied Yams

1. Yams, peeled and cut into 1/2-inch pieces - 5 cups
2. Water - 1 ¼ cups
3. Brown sugar - 1 cup
4. Pineapple juice - ¾ cup
5. Salted butter, cubed - ¼ cup
6. Vanilla extract - 2 tablespoons
7. Ground cinnamon - 1 teaspoon
8. Ground nutmeg - ½ teaspoon
9. Cornstarch - 2 tablespoons
10. Water - 2 tablespoons

How to cook deliciously - Slow Cooker Candied Yams

1. Stage

Line a slow cooker with a slow cooker liner or spray with cooking spray.

2. Stage

Place yams in the bottom of the slow cooker. Top with water, brown sugar, pineapple juice, butter, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Stir to evenly distribute sauce.

3. Stage

Cook on Low for 2 hours. Stir.

4. Stage

Stir cornstarch and water together in a small bowl to make a slurry. Add to slow cooker and stir to incorporate.

Cook until yams are fork-tender and sauce has thickened, about 1 hour more.
