Ingredients for - Chocolate Date Cake

1. Dates, pitted and chopped 1 cup
2. Boiling water 1 cup
3. All-purpose flour 1 ¾ cups
4. Baking soda 1 teaspoon
5. Salt ¼ teaspoon
6. Unsweetened cocoa powder 3 teaspoons
7. White sugar 1 cup
8. Butter ½ cup
9. Eggs 2
10. Chopped walnuts ½ cup
11. Semisweet chocolate chips, divided 1 cup

How to cook deliciously - Chocolate Date Cake

1 . Stage

In a small bowl, combine dates with boiling water. Set aside to cool.

2 . Stage

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x13-inch pan.

3 . Stage

In a medium bowl, mix flour, soda, salt, and cocoa. Set aside.

4 . Stage

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs. Add flour mixture alternating with cooled date mixture. Fold in chopped nuts and 1/2 cup of chocolate chips into mixture.

Spread batter into prepared pan. Sprinkle remaining 1/2 cup of chocolate chips over top.

Bake in the preheated oven for 45 to 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the middle of the cake comes out clean.
