1. Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
2. Onion, diced - 1
3. Carrots, sliced - 2
4. Celery with leaves, chopped - 2 stalks
5. Kielbasa sausage, sliced - 1 pound
6. Chicken broth - 2 quarts
7. Crushed tomatoes - 1 (15 ounce) can
8. Garlic, crushed - 1 clove
9. Dry lentils, rinsed - 1 pound
10. Bay leaves - 2
11. Salt and pepper to taste - 2

How to cook deliciously - Kris' Lentil Sausage Soup

1. Stage

Heat oil in a large stockpot over medium heat. Stir in the onion, carrots, and celery; cook and stir for 2 minutes. Add kielbasa, chicken broth, tomatoes, garlic, lentils, and bay leaves and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 2 hours. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
