1. Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
2. Red onion, coarsely chopped - 1
3. Garlic, minced - 3 cloves
4. Vegetable broth - 4 cups
5. Italian-style diced tomatoes - 1 (14.5 ounce) can
6. Red lentils, rinsed and drained - 1 ¼ cups
7. Uncooked brown rice - ½ cup
8. Italian seasoning - 1 tablespoon
9. Dried celery flakes - 1 tablespoon
10. Ground white pepper - 1 teaspoon
11. Dried marjoram - 1 teaspoon
12. Balsamic Vinegar - 1 ½ tablespoons

How to cook deliciously - Italian Red Lentil and Brown Rice Soup

1. Stage

Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add onion and garlic; cook and stir until softened, about 5 minutes. Stir in broth, diced tomatoes, red lentils, brown rice, Italian seasoning, celery flakes, white pepper, and marjoram. Bring soup to a boil; reduce heat, cover, and simmer until lentils break down and rice is tender, about 55 minutes.

Stir balsamic vinegar into the soup just before serving.
