Ingredients for - Turnip Green Soup

1. Vegetable oil - 1 teaspoon
2. Kielbasa sausage, cut into 1 inch pieces - 1 pound
3. Onion, chopped - 1 medium
4. Chicken broth - 5 cups
5. Turnip greens, drained - 2 (27 ounce) cans
6. Great northern beans, rinsed and drained - 2 (14.5 ounce) cans
7. Vegetable soup mix (such as Knorr's®) - 1 package
8. Hot pepper sauce (such as Tabasco®) - 1 teaspoon
9. Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
10. Creole seasoning (such as Tony Chachere's®), or to taste - 1 pinch
11. Salt and ground black pepper to taste - 1 pinch

How to cook deliciously - Turnip Green Soup

1. Stage

Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add kielbasa and onion; cook and stir until kielbasa is browned and onion is translucent, 5 to 7 minutes. Remove to a plate.

2. Stage

Add broth, turnip greens, beans, soup mix, hot pepper sauce, garlic powder, Creole seasoning, salt, and pepper to the saucepan; bring to a boil over medium-high heat.

3. Stage

Return kielbasa and onion mixture to the saucepan. Reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer for 2 hours.
